ClassPulse（以下「本サービス」）は、授業や研修で学生の回答をその場で集めて表示するためのサービスです。このページでは、本サービスがどの情報を扱い、どこに、どれだけの期間保存し、どこへ送るのかを説明します。

1. 運営者と連絡先

本サービスは AMR Team TOKAI（日本）が運営しています。このポリシーや個人情報の取り扱いについてのお問い合わせ、「12. あなたの権利」に書いた請求は、info@amrteamtokai.com までご連絡ください。

2. 利用のしくみ（アカウントは不要です）

本サービスにアカウント登録はありません。氏名、メールアドレス、電話番号、住所の登録を求めることもありません。
教員が ClassPulse Studio でセッションを作り、学生は画面に表示された6桁の参加コード（または QR コード）を使って ClassPulse Join から参加します。
教員は、セッションごとに次のモードのどれかを選びます。
- 氏名表示: 学生は固有キーを入力します。サーバーに届くのは固有キーだけで、教員の画面では、教員の端末内にある名簿と照らし合わせて氏名が表示されます。
- キー表示: 学生は固有キーを入力します。教員の画面には固有キーが表示されます。
- 完全匿名: 固有キーは送られません。
固有キーに何を使うか（学籍番号など）は教員が決めます。学籍番号のように本人を特定できる値を使う場合、固有キーと、それに結び付いた回答などの記録は、個人情報（個人データ）に当たることがあります。

3. サーバーで取り扱う情報

セッションの情報: 参加コード、モード、開始と終了の日時、設問の形式（選択式か記述式か、選択肢の数、複数回答かどうか）。設問文と選択肢の文面はサーバーに送られません。
固有キー（氏名表示・キー表示のみ）: 学生が入力した文字列です。
回答: 選んだ選択肢、記述式の回答の本文、出題から回答までの時間。氏名表示・キー表示では固有キーと結び付けて記録します。完全匿名では固有キーと結び付けません。
出席（氏名表示・キー表示のみ）: 出席確認に応じたかどうかとその時刻、最初に参加した時刻、途中で接続が切れた記録。
ピアレビュー（氏名表示・キー表示のみ）: 評価した人と評価された人の固有キー、グループ、評価項目、点数、時刻。
コース評価（氏名表示・キー表示のみ）: 回答した人の固有キー、項目ごとの点数、自由記述の本文、時刻。
匿名の端末ID: Join が端末内で一度だけ作るランダムな文字列です。接続が切れてつなぎ直したときに、同じ端末の回答を二重に数えないために使います。どのモードでも参加時に送られます。教員には渡しません。完全匿名のセッションでは、同じ端末の回答を二重に数えないための目印として、サーバーに保存する進行中のセッションの写しに含まれます。この写しは、セッションが終わると削除します。氏名表示・キー表示のセッションでは、サーバーのメモリ上でだけ使います。どのモードでも、終了したセッションの結果には保存しません。サーバーログには、元に戻せない形に変換した値（ハッシュ）の先頭8桁だけを記録します。
IP アドレス: 1つの接続元からの同時接続数の上限と、不正な試行の制限のために使います。一部のログの行に記録されます。
アプリの種別と版数: ブラウザからの接続かアプリからの接続かの推定、Studio の版数、Studio が起動のたびに作るランダムなID。
教員が入力する情報: 同義語辞書に登録した語、閲覧専用の端末に付けた表示名（表示名はメモリ上でだけ扱います）。
名簿（氏名）: 名簿は教員の端末内にだけ保存され、サーバーへは送られません。例外が1つあります。ピアレビューで、教員がグループのメンバーの表示ラベルに氏名などを指定した場合、そのラベルはピアレビューの実施中、サーバーのメモリを通って同じグループの学生の端末に表示されます。ラベルはデータベースには保存されず、セッションが終わると消えます。
サーバーログ: 接続元の IP アドレス、参加コード、匿名の端末IDのハッシュ、接続や操作の記録などが残ります。回答の本文と氏名は記録しません。教員が特定の学生の回答を無効にする操作をしたときは、その固有キーが記録されることがあります。

回答やその集計は、そのセッションの教員と、教員が承認した閲覧専用の端末に表示されます。

4. 端末内に保存される情報

次の情報は利用者の端末内に保存されます。「3. サーバーで取り扱う情報」に書いたものを除き、運営者には送られません。

ClassPulse Join: 入力した固有キー、匿名の端末ID、参加履歴（参加コード、参加日時、モード、固有キー、自分の回答、出席の記録など。直近50件）、接続先と表示言語の設定。
ClassPulse Studio: 名簿、過去のセッション（直近5件の結果）、グループ編成、ピアレビューの設定、同義語辞書、セッションを再開するための情報（参加コードと再入室用のトークン。保存から12時間を過ぎると使われず、破棄されます）、各種の設定。教員が出力した PDF・Excel・CSV は教員の端末に保存され、教員が選んだ共有先へ渡されます。
Web 版: アプリと同じ情報を、ブラウザの保存領域に保存します。

5. 利用目的と法的根拠

取り扱う情報は、次の目的で使います。

回答を集め、集計し、教員の画面に表示すること。
出席確認、ピアレビュー、コース評価を行うこと。
教員が結果を確認し、出力できるようにすること。
接続が切れたときに元の状態へ戻し、回答を二重に数えないこと。
障害の調査、サービスの安全な運用、不正な利用の防止。

EU の一般データ保護規則（GDPR）や英国の GDPR などのデータ保護法が適用される場合、運営者は、利用者が求めた機能を提供するために必要であること、ならびに、授業の運営を支え、サービスを安全に運用し、不正な利用を防ぐという正当な利益を根拠として、情報を取り扱います。

教育機関や教員が授業の一環として本サービスを使う場合、どの情報を集めて何に使うか（モード、固有キーに何を使うか、何を尋ねるか）は、通常、その教育機関や教員が決めます。結果の使い方には、その教育機関の方針も適用されます。

6. 自由記述の処理と外部サービス（OpenAI）

記述式の回答をまとめる機能では、回答の本文を、サーバーから米国の OpenAI が提供する API へ送ります。送るのは次の場合です。

類似集約（初期設定でオン）: 記述式の回答が届いた時点で、その本文が自動的に OpenAI の Embeddings API へ送られることがあります。同義語辞書や表記の近さだけで既存のまとまりに入れられた回答は送りません。教員が類似集約をオフにしている間は送りません。
AIで整理: 教員がこのボタンを押したときだけ、まとまりごとの代表的な語、件数、回答の本文の例（1つのまとまりにつき最大3件）を、OpenAI の言語モデル API へ送ります。
コース評価の自由記述: 学生が送信した時点では送りません。教員が集約を実行したときに、本文が Embeddings API へ送られることがあります。その際に AIで整理を使った場合は、上と同じ内容が言語モデル API にも送られます。

送るのは本文と上記の語・件数だけです。固有キー、氏名、参加コード、利用者の IP アドレスは含めません（送信元は本サービスのサーバーです）。ただし、利用者が本文に氏名などを書いた場合、それは本文の一部としてそのまま送られます。個人を特定できる情報は自由記述に書かないでください。

送った情報は、OpenAI の API に関する規約とプライバシーポリシーに従って同社が取り扱います。詳しくは OpenAI のプライバシーポリシーと API でのデータの取り扱いについての説明をご覧ください。

本サービスは広告を表示しません。広告や利用状況の解析のための第三者の SDK を組み込んでおらず、アプリやサイトをまたいだ行動の追跡も行いません。
取り扱う情報を販売しません。
「6.」に書いた OpenAI への送信と、サーバーを置いている設備の事業者の利用を除き、取り扱う情報を第三者に渡しません。ただし、法令に基づいて開示を求められた場合は、これに応じることがあります。

8. 保存する場所と国外への移転

本サービスのサーバーは日本国内にあり、情報は日本で保存されます。日本国外から利用する場合、情報は日本へ送られます。日本は、個人データの保護について、欧州委員会および英国から十分性の認定を受けています。

「6.」に書いた本文は、米国の OpenAI へ送られます。米国の個人情報保護の法制度は、お住まいの国や地域のものと異なる場合があります。送った本文は、「6.」に書いたとおり、OpenAI の規約に従って取り扱われます。

9. 保存する期間と削除

進行中のセッション: サーバーの再起動に備えて、進行中のセッションの写し（出席の記録を含みます。完全匿名のセッションでは、匿名の端末IDも含みます）をサーバーに保存します。この写しは、セッションが終わると削除します。出席の記録は、セッションの終了後はサーバーに残りません。
自動終了: 教員の接続が切れたまま90分が過ぎると、セッションは自動的に終了します。
終了の直後: 終了から30分のあいだ、参加コード、教員の再入室用のトークン、終了の時刻と理由だけを、サーバーのメモリに残します。
終了したセッションの結果: 集計、記述式の回答の本文、氏名表示・キー表示での固有キー付きの回答の記録、ピアレビュー、コース評価は、セッションの終了時にサーバーへ保存します。現時点では、これらを一定期間の後に自動で削除するしくみはなく、削除の依頼を受けるまでサーバーに保存されます。
メモリ上だけの情報: 接続元ごとの接続数、閲覧専用の端末の表示名、ピアレビューの表示ラベル、氏名表示・キー表示のセッションでの匿名の端末IDは、接続が切れるかセッションが終わると消えます。類似集約のために外部へ送った本文とその結果は、サーバーのプログラムが再起動するまでメモリに残ることがあります。
バックアップ: データベースのバックアップを毎日1回、同じサーバー内に作成し、30世代を保持します。これとは別に、保守作業のときに手動で取ったデータベースの写しを、同じサーバー内に保管していることがあります。
サーバーログ: 1日ごと、または一定の大きさを超えたときに区切り、14世代を保持します。記録のない日は区切られないため、14日より前のログが残っていることがあります。
端末内の情報: Join の参加履歴は直近50件、Studio の過去のセッションは直近5件を超えると、古いものから削除されます。Studio の再開用の情報は、保存から12時間を過ぎると破棄されます。

サーバーに保存された情報の削除を希望する場合は、「1.」の連絡先までご連絡ください。削除した情報は、バックアップや手動で取った写しが入れ替わるか削除されるまで、その写しに残ることがあります（自動バックアップは、1日1回の作成であれば約30日で入れ替わります）。また、データベースのファイル内の未使用の領域に、上書きされるまで残ることがあります。

端末内の情報は、利用者自身がアプリ内で削除できます。Join では参加履歴を1件ずつ削除でき、Studio では名簿と過去のセッションを削除できます。

10. カメラ、通知などの権限

カメラ: ClassPulse Join は、参加用の QR コードを読み取るためにカメラを使います。映像は読み取りの処理にだけ使い、保存も送信もしません。ClassPulse Studio はカメラを使いません。
写真とファイル: ClassPulse Join は写真ライブラリを読み取りません。ClassPulse Studio は、名簿などを読み込むときに、教員が選んだファイルだけを読み取ります。
通知: ClassPulse Studio は、セッションの終了が近いことを知らせるために、通知の許可を求めることがあります。この通知は端末内で予約するもので、プッシュ通知のためのサーバーは使いません。
位置情報: 本サービスは位置情報を取得しません。

11. セキュリティ

アプリとサーバーのあいだの通信は、暗号化（TLS / wss）で保護しています。教員がセッションに入り直すには、セッションごとに発行するトークンが必要です。ただし、どのような対策をとっても、完全な安全を保証することはできません。

12. あなたの権利

お住まいの国や地域の法律に応じて、あなたには、ご自身の情報について次のことを求める権利があります。

情報の開示（アクセス）、訂正、削除
取り扱いの制限、取り扱いへの異議
データを受け取り、他へ移すこと（データポータビリティ。該当する範囲で）
お住まいの国や地域のデータ保護の監督機関に申し立てること

請求は「1.」の連絡先で受け付け、合理的な期間内に対応します。本サービスにはアカウントがないため、対象の記録を特定するために、参加コード、実施した日時、固有キーなどをお尋ねすることがあります。完全匿名で送られた回答は、個人と結び付ける情報を持たないため、特定できないことがあります。

教育機関の授業で利用した場合は、その教育機関や教員に連絡いただくほうが適切なことがあります。

13. 子どものプライバシー

本サービスにはアカウントも年齢の確認もありません。主に大学、専門教育、研修での利用を想定しており、13歳未満（お住まいの国や地域がこれより高い年齢を定めている場合はその年齢未満）の子どもに向けて設計したり、宣伝したりしているものではありません。学校が未成年の生徒に本サービスを使わせる場合は、その学校が、必要な同意の取得や手続きを行ってください。子どもの個人情報を意図せず取得していたことが分かったときは、削除の求めに応じます。

14. 米国の州法について（カリフォルニア州など）

運営者は、個人情報を販売しません。また、クロスコンテキスト行動広告のために個人情報を共有しません。お住まいの州の法律が、個人情報を知る権利、削除する権利、訂正する権利を定めている場合、その請求は「1.」の連絡先で受け付けます。これらの権利を行使したことを理由に、不利な取り扱いをすることはありません。

15. このポリシーの変更

このポリシーは、必要に応じて改定することがあります。改定したときは、このページを更新し、冒頭の最終更新日を改めます。

ClassPulse Privacy Policy

ClassPulse ("the Service") lets instructors collect and display student answers live during a class or training session. This page explains what information the Service handles, where and for how long it is stored, and where it is sent.

1. Who we are and how to contact us

The Service is operated by AMR Team TOKAI (Japan). For questions about this policy or about how your information is handled, or to make a request described in "12. Your rights," contact info@amrteamtokai.com.

2. How the Service works (no account needed)

The Service has no accounts. It does not ask you to register a name, email address, phone number, or postal address.
An instructor starts a session in ClassPulse Studio. Students join from ClassPulse Join using the 6-digit join code (or QR code) shown on screen.
For each session, the instructor picks one of these modes:
- Named: students enter an ID key. Only the ID key reaches the server. The instructor's screen shows names by matching the key against a roster stored on the instructor's device.
- Key only: students enter an ID key. The instructor's screen shows the key.
- Fully anonymous: no ID key is sent.
The instructor decides what students use as an ID key (for example, a student ID). When the key can identify a person, as a student ID can, the key and the answers and other records linked to it may be personal information (personal data).

3. Information handled on the server

Session information: the join code, the mode, start and end times, and the format of each question (Multiple choice or Free text, the number of options, and whether multiple answers are allowed). The wording of questions and options is not sent to the server.
ID key (Named and Key only): the text the student entered.
Answers: the options selected, the text of Free text answers, and the time from when the question opened to when the answer was submitted. In Named and Key only modes, answers are recorded together with the ID key. In Fully anonymous mode, they are not linked to an ID key.
Attendance (Named and Key only): whether and when the student responded to an attendance check, when the student first joined, and a record of the connection dropping during the session.
Peer review (Named and Key only): the ID keys of the rater and the ratee, the group, the item, the score, and the time.
Course evaluation (Named and Key only): the respondent's ID key, the score for each item, the text of comments, and the time.
Anonymous device ID: a random string that Join creates once on the device. It is used so that answers from the same device are not counted twice after a reconnect. It is sent when joining in every mode. It is not passed to the instructor. In a Fully anonymous session, it is included in the copy of the session in progress that is saved on the server, as the marker that keeps answers from the same device from being counted twice. That copy is deleted when the session ends. In Named and Key only sessions, the server uses it in memory only. In every mode, it is not saved with the results of an ended session. Server logs record only the first 8 characters of a one-way hash of it.
IP address: used to cap the number of simultaneous connections from one source and to limit abusive attempts. It is recorded in some log lines.
App type and version: an estimate of whether the connection comes from a browser or an app, the Studio version, and a random ID that Studio creates each time it starts.
Information entered by the instructor: terms added to the Synonym dictionary, and the display name given to a View only device (the display name is handled in memory only).
Roster (names): the roster is stored only on the instructor's device and is not sent to the server. There is one exception. In a peer review, if the instructor sets the display labels for group members to names or similar text, those labels pass through the server's memory while the peer review is running and are shown on the devices of students in the same group. The labels are not stored in the database and are gone when the session ends.
Server logs: logs contain the source IP address, the join code, the hash of the anonymous device ID, and records of connections and actions. Answer text and names are not logged. When an instructor invalidates a particular student's answer, that student's ID key may be logged.

Answers and their totals are shown to the instructor of that session and to View only devices the instructor has approved.

4. Information stored on your device

The following is stored on the user's own device. Apart from what is listed in "3. Information handled on the server," it is not sent to us.

ClassPulse Join: the ID key you entered, the anonymous device ID, your Participation history (join code, time joined, mode, ID key, your own answers, attendance records, and similar details; the most recent 50 sessions), and settings for the connection and display language.
ClassPulse Studio: rosters, Past sessions (results of the most recent 5 sessions), group sets, peer review settings, the Synonym dictionary, information for resuming a session (the join code and the instructor's rejoin token; it is no longer used and is discarded once 12 hours have passed since it was saved), and other settings. PDF, Excel, and CSV files that the instructor exports are saved on the instructor's device and passed to the destination the instructor chooses.
Web versions: the same information is kept in the browser's storage.

5. Why we use the information, and the legal basis

We use the information to:

collect answers, total them, and show them on the instructor's screen;
run attendance checks, peer reviews, and course evaluations;
let the instructor review and export results;
restore a session after a dropped connection and avoid counting an answer twice;
investigate faults, operate the Service safely, and prevent misuse.

Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, or similar data protection law applies, we handle the information because it is necessary to provide the features users ask for, and on the basis of our legitimate interests in supporting teaching, operating the Service safely, and preventing misuse.

When a school, university, or instructor uses the Service as part of a course, that institution or instructor normally decides what information is collected and what it is used for (the mode, what serves as the ID key, and what is asked). The institution's own policies also apply to how the results are used.

6. Free text processing and an outside service (OpenAI)

Features that organize Free text answers send answer text from our server to APIs provided by OpenAI in the United States. This happens in the following cases.

Cluster similar (on by default): when a Free text answer arrives, its text may be sent automatically to OpenAI's Embeddings API. Answers that can be placed in an existing cluster using only the Synonym dictionary or closeness in spelling are not sent. Nothing is sent while the instructor has Cluster similar turned off.
Organize with AI: only when the instructor taps this button, the representative term, the count, and sample answer text (up to 3 per cluster) for each cluster are sent to OpenAI's language model API.
Comments in a course evaluation: not sent at the moment the student submits them. When the instructor runs clustering on them, the text may be sent to the Embeddings API. If the instructor uses Organize with AI at that point, the same kind of content as above is also sent to the language model API.

Only the text, and the terms and counts described above, are sent. ID keys, names, join codes, and users' IP addresses are not included (the request comes from our server). However, if a user writes a name or similar detail in the text itself, it is sent as part of that text. Do not put identifying information in Free text answers or comments.

OpenAI handles what we send under its API terms and privacy policy. See OpenAI's privacy policy and its explanation of how API data is handled.

The Service shows no ads. It contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs and does not track behavior across apps or sites.
We do not sell the information we handle.
Apart from sending text to OpenAI as described in section 6 and using a hosting provider for our server, we do not pass the information to third parties. We may disclose it when required to by law.

8. Where information is stored, and international transfers

Our server is located in Japan, and information is stored there. If you use the Service from outside Japan, your information is sent to Japan. Japan is covered by adequacy decisions of the European Commission and of the United Kingdom for the protection of personal data.

The text described in section 6 is sent to OpenAI in the United States. Privacy laws in the United States may differ from those where you live. The text we send is handled under OpenAI's terms, as described in section 6.

9. How long information is kept, and deletion

Sessions in progress: to survive a server restart, a copy of each session in progress (including attendance records and, in a Fully anonymous session, the anonymous device ID) is saved on the server. This copy is deleted when the session ends. Attendance records do not remain on the server after the session ends.
Automatic end: a session ends automatically once the instructor has been disconnected for 90 minutes.
Just after a session ends: for 30 minutes after the end, only the join code, the instructor's rejoin token, and the time and reason the session ended remain in the server's memory.
Results of ended sessions: totals, Free text answer text, answer records with ID keys from Named and Key only sessions, peer reviews, and course evaluations are saved on the server when the session ends. At present there is no mechanism that deletes these automatically after a set period. They stay on the server until we receive a request to delete them.
Memory-only information: per-source connection counts, View only display names, peer review display labels, and the anonymous device ID in Named and Key only sessions are gone when the connection closes or the session ends. Text sent out for Cluster similar, and the result, may remain in memory until the server program restarts.
Backups: a backup of the database is made once a day on the same server, and 30 generations are kept. Separately from these, we may keep copies of the database made by hand during maintenance work on the same server.
Server logs: logs are split daily, or when they grow past a set size, and 14 generations are kept. Days with nothing logged are not split off, so logs older than 14 days may remain.
Information on your device: Join's Participation history keeps the most recent 50 sessions and Studio's Past sessions keeps the most recent 5; older entries are deleted first. Studio's resume information is discarded once 12 hours have passed since it was saved.

To ask for information stored on the server to be deleted, contact us at the address in section 1. Deleted information may remain in backups and hand-made copies until those copies are replaced or deleted (automatic backups are replaced after about 30 days when one is made each day). It may also remain in unused space inside the database file until it is overwritten.

You can delete information on your own device in the app. In Join, you can delete Participation history entries one at a time. In Studio, you can delete rosters and Past sessions.

10. Camera, notifications, and other permissions

Camera: ClassPulse Join uses the camera to scan the QR code for joining. The image is used only for scanning and is not stored or sent. ClassPulse Studio does not use the camera.
Photos and files: ClassPulse Join does not read your photo library. ClassPulse Studio reads only the files the instructor selects, for example when importing a roster.
Notifications: ClassPulse Studio may ask for permission to send notifications so that it can remind the instructor before a session ends. These notifications are scheduled on the device. No push notification server is used.
Location: the Service does not obtain location information.

11. Security

Communication between the apps and the server is protected by encryption (TLS / wss). An instructor needs a token issued for each session to rejoin it. No measure, however, can guarantee complete security.

12. Your rights

Depending on the law where you live, you have the right to ask for the following in relation to your information:

access, correction, and deletion;
restriction of, and objection to, how it is handled;
receiving your data and moving it elsewhere (data portability, where it applies);
lodging a complaint with the data protection authority where you live.

Send requests to the address in section 1. We will respond within a reasonable time. Because the Service has no accounts, we may ask for the join code, the date and time of the session, your ID key, or similar details so that we can find the records concerned. Answers sent in Fully anonymous mode carry nothing that links them to a person, so we may be unable to identify them.

If you used the Service in a course run by a school or university, it may be more appropriate to contact that institution or your instructor.

13. Children's privacy

The Service has no accounts and no age check. It is intended mainly for universities, professional education, and training, and is not designed for or marketed to children under 13 (or under a higher age set by the law where you live). A school that has its underage students use the Service is responsible for obtaining any consent and completing any procedures that are required. If we learn that we have unintentionally obtained a child's personal information, we will delete it on request.

14. US state privacy laws (California and others)

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If the law of your state gives you rights to know, delete, or correct your personal information, send your request to the address in section 1. We will not treat you unfavorably for exercising these rights.

15. Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy when needed. When we do, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top.
